The Kindle version seems to drop certain math symbols. For example, Chapter 2 covers set theory. The notation for "union" should be an upside down "U". Instead, it is shown as a square. Inappropriate characters like this are usually included when the display product doesn't have a full line of mathematical symbo|About the Author|Robert Postman is Professor of Mathematics and Education at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY, and a former dean and department chair.
